The culture and art centers which expand refined art are developing rapidly in our country against the background of national culture strategy.Benefit from our economy growth,the culture and art centers now have higher quality buildings and equipment.However,managements lack experience in operating and managing these newly built culture and art centers.Therefore,some centers,especially those located in 2-3 tier cities,introduced Hong Kong professional management teams.But it brings culture conflict problem as well.In this study,targeting “A Culture and Art Center”,we study the problem of cross-culture management based on the cross-culture theory.We discussed the management problems due to different cultural conflicts in the following 4 aspects:(1)conflicts in program management;(2)conflicts in process management;(3)conflicts in departments co-operation;(4)conflicts in promotion of corporate image.This study proposes the strategies to improve cross-cultural managements:(1)Applying Hofstede's dimensions theory to construct the organizational culture;(2)Enhancing human resource management in cross-culture management;(3)using the cross-culture communicating the cross-culture incentive strategy.These strategies will benefit “A Culture and Art Center” in culture fusion and internal communication to improve cross-cultural management.These strategies will also be beneficial for those culture and art centers which face similar problems in cross-cultural management.
