With an increasingly fierce competition in the tourism market,the key for the tourist attractions to build up the brand,attract customers,and improve reputation depends on the position of the scenic sites and a visual image that comes with unique features and attractiveness.This essay will apply the relevant theories in Design in terms of brand positioning,visual identity design,etc.and explore the development and problems in Maiji Mountain Grottoes Scenic Region through field and online researches.It will then discover the site's local characteristics and cultural value to a comprehensive extent,and suggest a brand new,culturally profound,and distinctive brand visual identity with the theories about brand positioning.The essay is composed of three topics: the basic visual identity,the sign design,and the culturally creative products.By applying the theory about the visual identity design,the essay will discuss the design study with the method that integrates planning and practice.It will navigate the samples of the visual identity design that not only emit the historical and cultural features of the tourist attraction but also come with modern characteristics.This will improve the brand recognition and the visual image of Maiji Mountain Grottoes Scenic Region,and provide constructive insight for similar tourist attractions in terms of designing the brand visual identity.
