In order to explore mental health and its influencing factors of urban migrant children as well as the way of improve the level of mental health,two studies are designed: The first study used "student mental health test(MHT)","learning adaptation questionnaire" and "self-control ability questionnaire" as tools,1157 in five or six grade primary school and junior middle school students in Fujian province were investigated to explore the relationship of urban migrant children's mental health,learning adaption and self-control.The second study used the self-control and learning adaption training course to train the two experimental group of first and second grade junior middle school urban migrant students,in order to explore the intervention effect of such a training course for the status of urban migrant children's mental health.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Compared with the permanent children,the overall mental health status of urban migrant children is poor.Urban migrant children's mental health,learning adaption and self-control are influenced by gender,grade,transfer times and other demographic variables.(2)There was significantly positive correlation between the mental health status of urban migrant children and learning adaption and self-control.Learning adaption and self-control have a certain predictive power.Urban migrant children's self-control plays some role in the mediation the relationship of between learning adaption and mental health.(3)The training of learning adaption and self-control can significantly reduce the urban migrant children's psychological anxiety and improve their mental health.After participating in the curriculum training,there are differences in the level of mental health of the urban migrant children in grade one and grade two,that the training courses are more suitable for the first grade of junior middle school urban migrant students.
