The title is a summary of an content of the article,and the window for readers to understand the main ideas of the content.Nowdays,articles on WeChat public a ccounts are the main channel for us to obtain information because of its content divers ification and the advantage of resource acquisition convenience.In this paper,titles o f the articles released on sixteen WeChat public accounts in two months are sele cted as sources of the corpus,classification and description of the titles are base d on them.Titles of the articles are not rigidly adhered to the fixed title words and formats.While the amount of titles with specific title words is very small,the amo unt of the titles which use symbols to express and complement the meanings i s great.The main body of the article is based on pragmatic presupposition,speech act the ory and rhetoric as the analysis frame.we analyze the pragmatic characteristics and ef fects of the WeChat article title,and point out the difference between WeChat article ti tle and the traditional graphic media from pragmatic perspective.The presupposed inf ormation that exists in the statements,interrogative sentences and punctuation marks i n the WeChat articles.The producers of titles use the presupposed information to simpl ify the title words,set the suspense,and mislead readers.The corpus of speech act s are abundant among the Wechat article titles,and each kind of public accounts ha s rich rhetoric of speech act in line with its own characteristics.WeChat article produ cers use a variety of rhetorics.ask,quote and other usage with more complex rhetor ic is common because the layout of Wechat articles is not as strict as the paper m edia.Compared to the serious paper media,WeChat title producers often use the rhet oric like repeated and calling rhetoric to highlight the inclination to attract readers.WeChat article titles have a specific expression way on grammar,phonetic and s emantics to sharpen the pragmatic function.The title corpus of using the temporar y variation of composition,word translocation,word order transformation and homop honic puns to highlight or hide morpheme,is very rich.Currently,there are some problems exsiting in the WeChat titles:the title does n ot match the text,the title does not follow the fact,the title includes vulgar words.We should criticize and resist the phenomena of grammatical errors,the formation of o bscure,language obscure in the WeChat titles while promoting the usage of cone ise and clear-oriented title words,rasing standards of title words and minimizin g the usage of pure spoken language.Also,we need to focus on the originality,sp reading the correct and positive language.
