| Ceremony are numerous and complex,and most important of which is life cycle ceremonies.Human beings experience the life stages such as birth,life and death.In the long process of history,all ethnic groups have formed their own customs and life rituals.According to the form and content of life rituals,it is divided into life rituals,production rituals and religious rituals.Life rituals refers to the personal life related to birth,marriage,death and other related rituals.In most human groups,birth,adulthood,marriage,and death are the themes that are well established in the rituals of life.The personal life of any society is increasing from one stage to another with the increase of age.The so-called "transition from one stage to another," is the time to be divided into a critical state of the human “stage”.However,this is another manifestation of the system of life time,or "the sociality of life time".A particular social ritual separates the "one age" from the other.The purpose of this ritual is to move a person from one stage to another.The "Compendium of Turkic Dialects” is a valuable heritage.In this Compendium,the records including of the culture,society,philosophy,literature,history,folk custom and so on in the Central Asia and Xinjiang in Eleventh Century.There are more than 7 thousand and 500 words in the compendium.In this paper,we point out and explain the 157 words related to the life cycle rituals in this Compendium.This thesis consists of three chapters.Specific arrangements are as follows:The first chapter,discusses the reasons for choosing the topic,research significance,research object,research methods,and related study at home and abroad.The second chapter,at frist,briefly discusses the concept,classification and significance of life cycle ceremonies;secondly,point out and explain the words is this "Compendium" related with birth ceremony,naming ceremony,cradle ceremony,circumcision,weddingis and funerals.At the same time,the author discusses the changes of uyghur life cycle rituals in the contemporary life in the relevant parts.The third chapter,summarizes the whole thesis and discusses the significance of the research. |
