In recent years,Chinese language teaching has grown rapidly in Thailand.more and more Chinese language teachers and interns have been sent to Thailand to teach Chinese.In this group of Chinese teachers,a large proportion of them are graduates of Chinese as a foreign language or graduate students who are currently studying.They have just embarked on a job.As a novice teacher,they not only need to teach Chinese in foreign countries,but also they are in a foreign cultural environment where they must also go through the process of cross-cultural adaptation.Therefore,Therefore,whether or not novice teachers can adapt to the cultural differences between the host country's culture and their own culture and the cultural shocks brought about by it,resolve the various problems that arise in the process of cross-cultural adaptation and actively integrate into the host country's cultural environment,and will successfully adapt to exotic cultures and spread Chinese language to more people is crucial.This article takes Yunnan University as a research object for Chinese language novice teachers who went to Thailand in 2017.Adopting questionnaires and interviews to investigate and analyze the cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese language novice teachers in Thailand and the factors that affect their social and cultural adaptation and psychological adaptation.And then put forward some suggestions with operability and feasibility to help novice teachers adapt more quickly to teaching work and life in Thailand.The full text is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly expounds the source of the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,the research status at home and abroad,and the definition of the research object.The second part is the investigation of cross-cultural adaptation problems and strategies of the novice teachers and analysis.In this part,first of all,describes the design of the content of the survey,followed by an analysis of the survey results.It is concluded that the social-cultural adaptation and psychological adaptation of novice teachers are at the middle to upper level,and the overall situation of cross-cultural adaptation is good,but there are still some problems in adaptation.The main adaptation problems exist ineveryday life adaptation and interpersonal adaptation,and psychological adjustments such as homesickness.At the same time,through analysis,cross-cultural adaptation strategies such as learning the language of the visiting country and obtaining social support can help them through the process of cross-cultural adaptation;the third part analyzes the influence of language ability,social support,coping style,personality factors and life expectancy factors on the Cross-cultural adaptation of novice teachers.The fourth part proposes suggestions for improving the language level,based on the survey results and influencing factors.
