A Report On The Translation Of Effective Recycling Agriculture Around The Baltic Sea

Agriculture plays a very important role in the economic development in China,and its sustainable development affects the stability and further development of Chinese economy.However,agriculture has gradually become an important consumption source of resources in recent decades,which can also be regarded as important pollution and waste sources of resources.Therefore,in terms of protecting the ecological environment,saving energy and reducing emission,improving the utilization rate of resources,reducing pollution,developing economy and so on,agriculture undertakes great responsibilities.The translation of foreign advanced agricultural research materials is helpful for China to analyze and study the agricultural development experiences combined with its present situation,then to effectively promote the sustainable development of modern agriculture.The translation material of this report is selected from Effective Recycling Agriculture Around the Baltic Sea.The historical background and present situation of balances and surplus of plant nutrients within the agricultural sector in the eight countries of the Baltic Sea catchments area are described and analyzed in the material where the appropriate methods provided by the BERAS project to solve the surplus problem of the countries around the Baltic Sea under different situations are also introduced.Speeding up the further development of recycling agriculture has become a key way for the implementation of sustainable development of Chinese agriculture,so this material can provide some reference information.The author hopes that its translation can provide reference for more Chinese researchers on the study of sustainable development in Chinese agriculture.This report aims to study how the author uses the functional equivalence theory to complete the English-Chinese translation of the material.The author first introduces the background of the task,the source and the stylistic features of the material and the meaning of the task,and she also does previous researches of ecological recycling agriculture.Then she makes some pre-translation preparations including using various translation tools,establishing a term database and making a translation plan.Based on the functional equivalence theory,the author analyzes the selected cases and discusses the translation skills with three translation methods.The author also integrates the advice from tutor,MTI classmates and the students majoring in agronomy specialty and Chinese Department to modify the translation.Through this report,the author deeply realizes that her translation ability need to improve,and to be an excellent translator,she needs a solid theoretical foundation,good translation skills and rich knowledge.
