Note-taking Strategies In Consecutive Interpreting Under The Guidance Of Effort Model

China has been steadily participating in foreign aids in the new era.Bamboo and rattan foreign aid is an important part.Bamboo and rattan foreign aid will help recipient countries develop bamboo and rattan industry,deepen South-South cooperation,and contribute to the achievement of the UN Millennium Development Goals.The "2018 Seminar on Poverty Alleviation and Social Development Policy for Developing Bamboo and Rattan in Developing Countries" lasting for 21 days,was hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and sponsored by the International Bamboo and Rattan Center.It aimed to introduce the development and useful experience of China in the bamboo and rattan industry,enhance understanding,deepen friendship,and promote cooperation and common development among related countries.This practical report selects the "Review of the Development of Lin'an Bamboo and Rattan Industry" as an example.It introduces general information of Lin'an bamboo and rattan industry development and the multi-participation of the officials,technicians,farmers and enterprises has greatly promoted bamboo and rattan industry.It conducive for developing countries to have a deep understanding of typical Chinese township bamboo and rattan development experience,fully realize the significance of the bamboo and rattan industry for the sustainable development of poverty-stricken areas,and promote international cooperation and common development.The problems in this interpreting practice include: listening comprehension,selecting important information take notes,and digital interpreting.This practical report proposes three strategies correspondingly,including improving listening comprehension,constructing a personalized note-taking system and improving digital conversion skills.It takes the effort model as the theoretical basis,attempts to analyze note-taking problems in consecutive interpreting,and proposes solutions.Hopefully,it will provide help for the relevant researches and practices of how to deal with note-taking problems effectively in consecutive interpreting.
