In recent years,teaching Chinese as a foreign language has become a attractive new subject.So far,more than 500 Confucius Institutes have been established abroad;in China,the Chinese language education courses for international students in various universities have gradually become a system.Chinese study rush has grown rapidly this discipline.In teaching Chinese as a foreign language,writing teaching plays an important role in cultivating the ability of foreign Chinese learners to use Chinese comprehensively.Writing,as one of the four basic skills of language learning,plays an important role in testing students' expressive ability and is directly related to the students' comprehensive level of Chinese.Therefore,writing has always been the focus and difficulty of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In order to meet the needs of the current form of education,teaching Chinese as a foreign language should keep the teaching concept up to date and change the teaching methods to improve the quality of writing teaching.“Content-based Instruction”(CBI)emerged in the late 1960 s and quickly became a hot topic in Western education and teaching.Based on communicative language teaching,CBI organically combines subject content and language form,breaking the phenomenon that traditional language teaching separates language elements and content artificially,which is a major challenge to traditional language teaching.However,in China,there is still a lack of research on the application of CBI in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Therefore,this thesis attempts to combine the CBI with the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language to explore the possibility of its implementation in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.It aims to provide reference teaching ideas and teaching models for the reform of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper focuses on two research issues: First,can CBI be applied to the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language to improve students' writing interest and motivation? Second,can CBI be applied to the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language to improve the writing level of students? In response to the research questions,the author selected 48 students from the Korean University of Bohai University as the experimental subjects,and taught them in the CBI writing teaching mode.The study used questionnaires,interviews and other research methods for data collection and analysis.Finally,the research results show that:1.CBI can improve students' writing interest and writing motivation.Questionnaires and interviews show that after the implementation of CBI Chinese writing teaching,students' writing interest has been significantly improved,and the evaluation of writing class has changed from “boring and boring” to “promising”;at the same time,writing motivation is no longer simply a test or Complete homework,and focus more on improving your writing skills and expanding your knowledge;2.CBI can effectively improve students' writing skills.3.CBI has many advantages over traditional writing teaching models.It can promote positive changes in students' motivation for writing,develop students' ability to learn actively,and improve students' comprehensive language level.However,during the experiment,CBI also showed some limitations,which required further improvement and improvement of teachers and students.Therefore,this paper confirms that CBI is an effective teaching concept and teaching mode,and has important reference for the current reform of Chinese writing teaching.
