Task-based teaching method is rise in the eighties of the 20 th century, th e specific of the new teaching attem pt is that s et with direction purpose task as th e learning internal m otivation of students ' language acquisition, the students who complete the task in the pro cess as they acquire the langua ge,reflecting the learners as the center of teaching philosophy,can effectively resolve the current of Chinese writing teaching, and effectively improve the quality of teaching writing. This paper through the understanding of literature and re lated theories of task-based approach, and the pursuit of the language use of the ba sic principles into practical classroom teaching, in Nanchang University Teaching of writing. In th at way, then find som e problems that students appear in writing an d the so lutions to it, the theor etical research associate with teaching pra ctice, give the primary stage of writing te aching to international students certain guiding significance.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, introduces the background and research situation at home and abroad of the writing ideas. The second part is the theoretical basis of task-based approach, task-based teaching method and teaching steps. The third part is mainly taking Nanchang University as the example, through the exploration of Ch inese writing teaching situation, analysis of the problem s. The fourth part is th e main part of t he paper, including the experimental object and the specific teach ing task design, task link will achieve th e specific teaching content and obj ectives, through the final task of the sm all practice feedback. The last part is the ov erall summary of this paper, summ arizes the main work done and the basic conclusions of th is paper and the main points of innovation and deficiencies.
