Sentence completion is the type of test that examines grammar points in the new HSK level 4,and it is also the type of test that Cambodian Chinese learners are likely to lose marks.Compared with Chinese,some word order of Cambodian is inconsistent and some grammatical items are missing,which adds difficulties to Cambodian Chinese learners.In the grammar items examined in the sentence completion test,the grammatical points that Cambodian Chinese learners mainly make errors are imperative sentences,"yes..."Emphasis sentence,prepositional phrases as adverbials and multiple adverb order and some fixed collocation.These errors are caused by the negative transfer of learners'mother tongue,which is mainly caused by the great difference between the word order of Chinese center language and modifier and Cambodian language.The generalization of the rules of the target language,especially some grammatical items missing in Cambodia,is easy for learners to overgeneralize.Under the influence of interlanguage,even some Cambodian Chinese teachers have the phenomenon of "fossilization" of interlanguage.The single motivation,low efficiency of learning strategies and weak awareness of self-monitoring of Cambodian Chinese learners will also lead to the occurrence of errors or even the recurrence of the same type of errors.The external factors are mainly the problems in the Chinese school system in Cambodia and the phenomenon that students can be promoted even if they fail in Chinese.The class structure is complex,the class number is large,the student age span is big;The teaching material is not adaptable enough,the content is too difficult and there is no grammar point analysis and lack of teaching materials;And the complex language environment of Cambodian Chinese learners.In view of these errors,it is proposed that Chinese teachers should implement the principle of intensive speaking and more practice,and pay attention to the language sense teaching of the second language.Students should improve their awareness of self-monitoring,consciously correct errors that occur frequently,pay attention to the accumulation of vocabulary in daily life,and put the words they have learned into phrases or sentences to understand their meaning and usage.The textbooks should be changed according to learners'different stages and needs.The improvement of the objective conditions can be started by improving the class promotion rules,giving the Chinese language a "veto power" and improving the overall level of the teachers.
