With the development of global economy, the international exchanges and cooperation have become more and more frequent. And the role of business contracts in international economic activities is becoming more and more prominent.Business contract is a legal style which is binding on both parties in business activities,so it is of great significance to the translation of contract style. This paper is a translation report, and the original material is business contracts. Those contracts come from a translation company where the author works as a practice translator during the study in Shenyang Ligong University. The language of the material is Chinese, which needs the author to translate into English. This paper firstly makes a brief introduction to the translation project, including the source of the materials and its writing style;secondly,it illustrates the process of translation on two aspects:the preparation before translation and check after translation. The language style of the target texts, the study on the parallel text and the preparation of the translation theory are involved in the preparation before translation. Then in the case analysis part, the author demonstrates the focuses and difficulties with examples on the aspects of words and sentences during the translation process and makes solutions according to translation strategies. In the last part of this paper, the author reviews the whole translation process, and summarizes the gains, problems and disadvantages during the process. In the process of translation, the author selects the functional equivalence translation theory proposed by American linguist Eugene Nida as the practical guidance,so that the target text can not only convey the meaning of the source text accurately, but also conform to the expression habit of the contract text in language.
