Word is the smallest language unit that can be used independently,and it exist through the whole Chinese teaching system.As a Chinese teacher,we should value vocabulary teaching in second language teaching.With the improvement of the Chinese language level of learners,there are more and more similar words add into their vocabulary,and error and misuse begin to occur in the selection of words in their expression and communication.Words fail to convey meaning,resulting in ineffective communication,and sometimes even cause cross-cultural communication problems.Facing the error words of intermediate and advanced Chinese learners,teachers need to make adequate preparations,and more importantly,they need to clearly understand the reasons of learners' confusion,so as to solve learners' problems with appropriate measures.From the perspective of interlanguage,the study on confusable words extracted from the examples of learners' errors is more in line with the actual situation of teaching and more able to meet the needs of learners.This study is based on Interlanguage theory.Error Analysis theory and confusable words proposed by Zhang Bo.Students' compositions,oral tests and word discrimination tests in the School of Sinology and Confucius institute at Mae Fah Luang University in Thailand were used as the research sources of confusable words.At the beginning,the statistical analysis method was adopted to sample sentences with word misuse in corpus and extract the words with confusion in expression,to determine the standard of confusable words for Thai university students,and to screen out and classify the confusable words that meet the above standards.After that,comparative analysis and error analysis were used to sort out the confusion examples in the corpus one by one,find out the causes of word confusion,and put forward the teaching strategies for Thai university students.The purpose of this study is to provide novice Chinese teachers with help and make contribute to the research on the nationalization of confusable words.
