| The development of economic globalization makes the communication between countries more and more frequent.Communication and cooperation between countries can be realized by the establishment of forums and conferences,while non-governmental exchange can be achieved through tourism.Nowadays,the cross-border communication has been becoming easier and easier by the developed transportation systems at home and abroad.In 2015,National Tourism Administration well combined the communication and exchange between the state and people,set the theme of the year 2015 as"Beautiful China-Silk Road Tourism Year".This theme not only carried out the strategic concept of "the Belt and Road" put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping,but also benefited domestic and foreign tourists.As an important post station on the ancient Silk Road,Kangxian County is a tourist attraction in Gansu Province.It has not only beautiful natural scenery,but also profound historical culture and ancient relics."Tour Commentary of Kangxian County" is the basic online content of Gansu Tourism Public Service Portal.At the invitation of Gansu Tourism Training Center,the author translated Tour Commentary of Kangxian County into EnglishThe report consists of 10321 Chinese characters.According to the requirement of entrusting party,the translation work should be completed within three months with good quality and quantity.For this reason,the author has drawn up a detailed translation plan and a reasonable quality control scheme in order to complete the task with high quality within the specified time.The author insists on taking readers as the center by applying Reception theory into tourism text translation and adopting translation strategies such as addition,omission,transliteration,inversion,etc.The thesis is divided into five parts,including introduction,task description,translation process,case analysis and conclusion.From accepting the translation task to submitting the final version,the difficulties encountered in translation and solutions are elaborated in detail,and specific examples of translation are given for comparative analysis.It is hoped that this practical report can provide some references and inspirations for translators of relevant texts. |
