Over the past decade,.more and more foreign students choose to study Chinese in China. They learn Chinese in the social and cultural environment of China.Their adaptation problems will be more complex and more difficult. The number of Chinese advanced students is the largest among the overseas students.Chinese teaching for advanced students is the main body of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. It is very important to study the academic adaptation of Chinese advanced students in China. It is not only related to the academic development of foreign students, but also to the quality of foreign students'education in China's universities. At present, there are few related studies. This paper adopts the method of combining quantitative research with qualitative research and takes the Chinese advanced students in College of International Education Shandong University as an example to explore the academic adaptation of international students in China. We put forward the main research questions of this paper:How is the overall situation of learning adaptation of Chinese advanced students in China? How is learning adapted to all aspects? How will individual factors such as gender, age, region, type of students, length of time spent in learning Chinese and Chinese proficiency affect the learning adaptation of Chinese learners? What is the relationship among learning adaptation, psychological adaptation and social and cultural adaptation of Chinese advanced students? On the basis of literature review, this paper redefines the concepts of"learning adaptation"and"learning adaptation of foreign students in China"'We divide the academic adaptation into two dimensions:self-adjustment and learning environment adaptation, including learning goal adaptation, learning ability adaptation, learning attitude adaptation, teaching mode adaptation and interpersonal relationship adaptation directly related to Chinese learning. On the basis of the theoretical framework,we draw lessons from the previous research results and compile the Questionnaire on the Academic Adaptation of International Students in China on theLearning Adaptation of Chinese Learners in China.Based on the research results of other scholars,we compile the Questionnaire on the Social and Cultural Adaptation and the Psychological Adaptation according to the characteristics of Chinese Learners.Using questionnaire to survey among 103 Chinese advanced students,we find that Chinese advanced students'1 learning adaptability is better, showing characteristics of imbalance and difference. We also find that there is a moderately positive correlation between the psychological adaptation,socio-cultural adaptation and Chinese learning adaptation.Through the statistical software SPSS23.0 and AMOS24.0 for data analysis, combined with the results of in-depth interviews,we draw the following specific conclusions:1.The Chinese advanced students' general level of learning adaptability is relatively high.Chinese advanced students are better at learning goal adaption, but there are also some problems in learning ability adaption, learning attitude adaption, teaching mode adaption and interpersonal relationships adaption.2.The internal distribution of Chinese advanced students'learning adaptability is unbalanced.Self-adjustment is better than learning environment adaptation.Learning goal adaptability is better than learning attitude adaptability better than learning ability adaptability, and teaching mode adaptability is better than interpersonal relationship adaptability.3.The learning adaptability of Chinese advanced students shows significant differences in regions, student types and Chinese proficiency.European and American students'self-adjustment,learning goals and learning ability are significantly better than Asian students;exchange students'interpersonal adaptability level is significantly higher than scholarship students'higher than self-funded students';Chinese advanced students with higher level of interpersonal adaptability is significantly better than students with lower level of Chinese.4.There is a significant positive correlation between learning adaptation and psychological adaptation,socio-cultural adaptation. The psychological adaptation,socio-cultural adaptation are more better, the level of learning adaptation is more higher.Based on the above conclusions,we can improve the Chinese advanced students'Chinese learning adaptability by strengthening their adaptability in the above five aspects as well as psychological and socio-cultural adaptability. There are five chapters in this paper. The contents of each chapter are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly elaborates the research background, research summary research content and research significance, combs the research contents of cross-cultural adaptation and learning adaptation of foreign students in China, clarifies the concept and structure of learning adaptation of foreign students in China, and illustrates the theoretical and practical significance of this study. The second chapter is the research design part, focuses on the research hypothesis and model, and analyzes the basic situation of the respondents and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. The third chapter is mainly about the statistics and analysis of the survey results, using SPSS23.0 and AMOS24.0 software to study and analyze the survey data, and combining with in-depth interviews, explain the reasons for the data analysis results,so that the conclusion has a certain convincing. The fourth chapter summarizes the conclusions of this study, and puts forward corresponding suggestions for the learning adaptation difficulties of Chinese advanced students in China. The fifth chapter analyses the innovation and shortcomings of this study, hoping to provide some inspiration for future research.
