A Report On T-C Translation Of The 2015-2021 National Security Policy(Expert)

The national security policy,as the guide to safeguard national security and interests,reflects the main direction and measures in safeguarding national security and interests and also indicates the security threats and challenges faced by a country.Scopus Theory,with a focus on the translation purpose,fully takes the needs of readers into consideration and plays a significant role in guiding translation practice.This report discusses the translation methods of the national security policy text in three aspects based on the text of 2015-2021 National Security Policy.At the lexical level,amplification,omission and conversion are adopted.At the syntactic level,the report focuses on literal translation,division and combination.And at the textual level,cohesion and coherence become the focus.A summary of translation methods and laws on political texts are concluded with expectations of providing some references for translation studies of this kind and proving the Scopus Theory can be applied to the translation of political texts.
