The tribal sites vary regionally in the Northern Liaodong Peninsula from the neolithic age to the bronze age.To probe into the single settlement pattern and internal structure on the Xinle lower level culture,the Shuidong lower level culture,the Pianpuzi culture and the Beigou culture at the neolithic age,the Machengzi culture,the Shuangfang culture at the bronze age,which helps comprehending features,economy,social relationships among the inhabitants of those settlements,and even the settlement distributions and relationships.According to the evolution of the settlement patterns and social developments,the periods can be departed into four phases:?.the Matrilineal Society,which is characterized by the concentrated communities;?.the Transition Society,the wealth gap and class division commences within the breakdown of primitive collaboration and the creature of Private Property during this period;?.the Patrilineal Society,there are functional divisions in settlements,gender-based division of labour and private ownership emerges at that time;?.the "city" States,which refers to rigid distinctions of class and wealth and the ruling class seize the political power.
