Square dance,with its cheerful rhythm,easily-learning movements,and physical fitness,has become today's middle-aged and elderly women's first choice of exercise for fitness.In recent years,with more and more people engaging in the square dance,the state has launched a series of measures and issued 12 sets of square dance to advance square dance,thus,it's worth our in-depth study of the value of square dance exercise and its significance to health.Using literature and references,data statistics,after 12 weeks' experimental intervention of the time,frequency and intensity of the square dance,the paper explores and analyzes the implications of the square dance in middle-aged and old women health fitness and the changes of their physical indexes to provide reference to further research of square dance and to promote a more scientific and standard development of square dance.The results showed that the body mass index,waist circumference,body weight,balance ability and flexibility of the experimental group were significantly different from those of the control group(p < 0.05),and the flexibility(p < 0.01)was significantly different.There was no significant difference in height,hip circumference,waist-to-hip ratio,cardiopulmonary function and grip strength(p > 0.05).Conclusion:1.In the control group,there were no substantial changes in body weight,hip circumference,BMI and waist-to-hip ratio,and there were significant differences in waist circumference test indicators(p < 0.05),but it was a negative growth.Fat accumulation showed a trend of deepening,indicating that square exercise without intervention had no influence on the indicators of healthy body fitness.2.In the control group,the four test indicators of flexibility,balance,grip strength and lung capacity were all improved,but there was no significant difference(p > 0.05),indicating that the influence of square exercise without intervention on the indicators of physical fitness was limited,and the physical fitness was slightly improved on the basis of maintaining the original level of physical fitness.3.There were significant differences in body weight,waist circumference and BMI between the experimental group and the control group(p < 0.05),indicating that the square exercise intervention had a significant impact on the indicators of healthy body fitness bodycomposition,especially in the aspects of weight loss,waist circumference reduction and body obesity.4.Group in flexibility and the ability to balance the two test index exists significant difference(p < 0.05),the flexibility is very significant difference(p < 0.01),muscle strength and lung capacity 2 test index has increased,but there is no significant difference(p > 0.05),explain square dance experimental intervention on health fitness had a greater influence on the physical quality index.
