Since 1964.France,as the first great power in the West to establish diplomatic relations with China,has actively promoted the development of Sino-French relations,and Chinese language teaching in France has also developed.At present,the language teaching in France mainly uses the traditional teaching method,because the two languages,Chinese and French,belong to two completely different languages.From pronunciation to writing,there is almost no common ground,so french people encounter a lot of difficulties in the process of learning Chinese languageThis thesis firstly analyzes the current situation of Chinese teaching in French universities.Through the questionnaire,the Chinese language learners of the French National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations were surveyed to analyze the difficulties they encountered in learning Chinese?Furthermore,the thesis analyses this school Chinese curriculum plan and Chinese teaching materials.On this basis,a teaching design is formed by the theory of "task teaching method".It is hoped that through accomplish designed pragmatic tasks,learners can learn language knowledge through interaction,develop an interest in Chinese learning,and change passive learning pattern to active learning,thus improving the communicative competence.This thesis comprises six chapters:Chapter One:Introduction.It introduces the significance of the thesis topic,the research content.the research methods and the innovation of the researchChapter Two:The analysis of the current situation of Chinese teaching in French universities.This chapter introduces and analyzes the history of Chinese teaching in French universities,well as the Chinese curriculum of the French National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations,and it also analyzes the teaching material named METHODE DE CHINOIS deuxieme niveau ????Chapter Three:An investigation and analysis of French college students' Chinese learning motivation,learning difficulties and teaching situation are undertaken.Trough investigating students who have already studied the first grade of Chinese curriculum at the French National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations.,the author analyzes the students' basic information,learning background,learning motivation,learning difficulties and situation.Chapter Four:Theoretical basis of the task teaching.This chapter focuses on the definition of tasks,the source,approach,application and role of the Task Teaching method.And it analyzes the current situation of foreign language teaching methods about Task Teaching methods.Chapter Five:Task activity design.Based on the investigation and analysis of the previous chapters and the theory of Task Teaching method,this chapter provides task activity design.Task activities are divided into two categories:task activities adapted to reading and writing classes,and task activities adapted to listening and speaking classes.Chapter Six:Conclusion.This chapter summarizes the study,put forward the lack of the research,and proposes an content for future research.
