A Study On The Text Of Lower Ladakh Gesar

At first,Ladak lived in the Xiangxiong area under the Tubo rule.Later,because of the split of Tubo,Huajigong,descendant of Langdama,Ali ruled the three surroundings,and Ladak became a small state in the three surroundings of Ali at that time.It is similar to the rulers in language and culture as well as in folk customs and beliefs.The local epic "Gesar" is also popular.In this article,the author chooses the version of "Gesar" of Xia Ladak as the research focus,and makes a comprehensive exposition of Ladak's history,religion and folklore,and puts forward his own views on the formation of the text.This paper consists of four chapters.The first chapter discusses Ladak's history,religion,and political,economic and cultural transactions between Ladak and Tibetans.Chapter two introduces the "Gesar" by Xia Ladak,and discusses the cultural phenomena embodied in it.Chapter three makes a comprehensive discussion and comparison between the three different versions of Gesar and the traditional Tibetan Gesar in terms of plot,content and structure,as well as the sequence of characters.Chapter Four elaborates in detail the similarities between the corpse story,the Marsanne story and the bird story in Tibetan ancient books and Xialadak's Gesar.This paper puts forward the viewpoint that "Gesar" narrated by Lada is formed on the basis of the above three stories.
