In recent years,as China's economy continues to grow and its influence grows,more and more foreign students want to learn about China by learning Chinese.The best place of learning a second language is the target language countries.In order to enable foreign students to truly experience Chinese culture and effectively improve Chinese language learning,short-term summer camp in China has become the best choice for many foreign students.Situational Language Teaching as an important method of teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language,to achieve the teaching purpose,provides plenty of examples to language function and makes the language teaching more vivid by designing some authentic situations and scenes.Thus,its application in teaching Chinese as a foreign language is very common.From the existing study materials,the author has not found that the application of Situational Language Teaching to Chinese teaching in summer camp.As the participants of the Chinese summer camp of Pfu middle school in Thailand,the author found that teachers generally use Situational Language Teaching to their class,but the teaching effect needs to be improved.Therefore,combining the characteristics of Situational Language Teaching,middle school students' learning and summer camp teaching,on the basis of relevant theories,this thesis takes the case of classroom teaching,teachers and students of the summer camp as the research objects and puts forward suggestions for improvement through literature analysis,classroom observation analysis and investigation.Finally,this thesis is created to help theteachers use the teaching method more effectively and scientifically in Chinese summer camp and provide useful reference for study of summer camp.
