Verbs are words expressing actions,actions,psychological activities or changes.They are often used as predicates or predicate centers in sentences.It play an important role in both semantic and syntactic structures,and they are the center of the sentence's syntactic and semantic structures.Direction refers to the right orientation of an action,behavior or object.Directional verbs refer to verbs that can show one or more directions concretely or abstractly in the course of spatial action.In sentence structure,we usually use location words to express the direction of things,such as up,down,front,back,east,south,west,north,etc.Besides,directional verbs and general verbs can also express direction.Directional verbs are a kind of words in Chinese that express the tendency of movement,such as coming,going,entering,leaving and returning.Directionality is one of the most obvious features of tendency words.Directional meaning is the basic meaning of every tendency verb.However,different verbs collocated with tendency verbs may give different directional meanings.Foreign students are prone to errors in learning and using.The general directional verbs also have different situations.They can be divided into monosyllabic directional verbs and polysyllabic directional verbs according to syllables.According to the direction,it can be divided into unidirectional verbs and multidirectional verbs.According to the distinctness of verb direction,it can be divided into real direction verb and virtual direction verb.For most foreign students,the use of directional verb structures is a disaster area where errors and errors exist.This paper classifies and collates the verbs in HSK-6 vocabulary,studies the acquisition of foreign students and error information,and explores the teaching of directional verbs in foreign students,so as to make better use of them in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
