The main research object of this paper is hypothetical conjunctions,which are in use in modern Chinese and are included in the popular modern Chinese dictionaries,and are interpreted as"hypothetical"conjunctions.Looking through modern Chinese classics and making a brief summary of conjunctions that express hypothetical meanings,it is not difficult to find that there are many similar conjunctions in modern Chinese,the more common of which are:"rúgu?”,"jiaru","jiashi","jiashe","tangruo","yaoshi","ruoshi","wanyi',"yidan,"guozhen''and so on,among which"if'is the most common hypothetical conjunction.These hypothetical conjunctions are always accompanied by hypothetical sentences and have strong correlation with each other.In this article,they are generally referred to as "rúgu?"hypothesize conjunctions.In this paper,the research results of"rugu" hypothetical conjunctions are described in detail.The basic usage of this kind of hypothetical conjunctions is summarized.With the help of the HSK dynamic composition Corpus of Beijing language and language University,the Interlanguage Corpus of Sun Yat-sen University and the Interlanguage Corpus of Jinan University,the author inquires into several kinds of hypothetical conjunctions used frequently.And the foreign students use this kind of conjunctions to carry on the general description,extracts the "rúgu?" hypothetical conjunctions error corpus.By tagging,investigating and refining the extracted data,Description,classification,types of errors and the causes of errors.Finally,this paper examines the acquisition order of hypothetical conjunctions for foreign students,and puts forward some suggestions for teaching Chinese as a foreign language in combination with the above research results.
