This paper attempts to interpret the concept of “Comprehensive Musicianship” in the United States through the comparison of relevant literature and related theories and proposes the author's opinion on the translation of this concept,thereby presenting the theory of teaching strategy more clearly.On this basis,it reconstructs the understanding for “Comprehensive Musicianship” from the aspects of the background,content and subsequent impact.This paper consists of introduction and three chapters.The first chapter analyses the existing relevant literature in domestic and relevant literature abroad currently and defines the connotation and extension of the core concepts involved in this paper on the basis of the previous study.The second chapter expounds the background of “Comprehensive Musicianship” concept.The third and the fourth chapter summarizes the “Comprehensive Musicianship” from the two perspectives of the content of the concept itself and the impact of the concept after it came into being and has profound thinking on the existing problems in China's music education theory.
