This paper takes the Sino-US co-productions released after 2012 as the research object, and explores the current development status and existing problems of Sino-US co-productions.Sino-US co-production has been further developed since 2012.On the one hand,China has become the second largest film market in the world.Hollywood attaches great importance to the Chinese film market. On the other hand,it is due to the upgrading of the Chinese film industry and the demand for internationalization of the film industry.Sino-US co-productions are more likely to enter the global film market than purely domestic films because of their national identities.Compared with the situation of independent films and state-owned enterprises as the main partners before 2012,after 2012,Sino-US co-production not only increased in number, but also diversified in types. Most importantly, domestic private film and television companies have begun the market-oriented "internationalization" of Chinese films.Through the analysis of the content of the film and the case studies of Great Wall and White Snake: Origin, the author believes that there are still some problems in Sino-US co-productions,such as "insufficient support of industrial policy","relative disjunction between economic and cultural purposes","ambiguous criteria of cultural measurement" and "relative tradition of Chinese elements of choice",which need to be addressed in policy. To formulate supporting policies and detailed cultural testing standards, encourage Chinese film and television companies to "go out" at the market level and tap local popular culture at the content level. In terms of specific policy formulation and market operation,we can learn from the experience of Europe and Hollywood.
