The classroom teaching is a bilateral activity between the teachers and students and it is no doubt that this activity shall be dominated by the students.However,in the actual teaching,many classrooms are the “monologues” of the teachers and the students are relegated to the “outsiders”.In order to arouse the enthusiasm of the students to participate in the classroom activities and become the "protagonists" with distinct personality in class,the teachers explore and create many teaching methods and role-playing method is one of them.The connotation of role-playing method is still controversial,but it is generally considered as a teaching method.Role-playing method refers that the teachers simulate and create the story situation or life situation in class,the students shall play a role in the situation and they shall show it in class according to the role requirements and students' understanding on the role.There are three main factors of role-playing method: role,situation and purpose.The role is the core factor of role-paling method,the situation is the guarantee for the implementation of role-playing method and the purpose is the basis for the implementation of role-playing method.Through the investigation: there is the mismatch between idea and practice and the contradiction between inner conscience and external restraint when the teachers use role-playing method,therefore,they accept role-playing method but not implement it frequently;they know several types of role-playing method but use it singly;they are well aware of their leading role but the degree of participation is low;the form is in place but the teaching effect is greatly reduced.The students also have cognitive biases and psychological burdens when participate in the process of role-playing.The factors affected the implementation of role-paling method in senior English class of primary school: the influence of social and cultural values,the influence of school teaching environment,the influence of teachers' cognition and teaching style,the influence of students' cognition and psychological factors and the limitations of role-playing method.According to the concept of deep learning,in case of effective use ofrole-playing method,it is necessary to find strategies from early stage,middle stage and late stage.Before the application,the teachers shall strengthen the theoretical learning of role-playing method;create the real situations that facilitate students' knowledge understanding and transfer;teachers and students shall study the script together to touch the heart of students;the roles shall be assigned by themselves to cultivate the students' core competence in English.During the application,the teachers shall be good at using simple props to stimulate students' learning motivation;skillfully set up the layout of classroom activities to expand the interactive space;infiltrate the content of moral education to cultivate the listening consciousness of students.After the application,the teachers shall record and control the using frequency and keep the active participation of the students;the teachers shall use a variety of evaluation methods to guide students to reflect deeply;the teachers shall summarize and reflect on themselves to indirectly promote students' deep learning.
