Investigation And Analysis Of The Present Situation Of Business Chinese Teaching In Confucius Institute At Karachi University,Pakistan

Due to the needs of the economic development of the “China-Pakistan Economic Corridor”,now Pakistan has a great demand for business Chinese talents in this working field.However,there are very few teaching institutions,who establishes business Chinese courses in Pakistan.Only one Confucius Institute in Karachi has started a business Chinese course.Due to the short time of the course,the teaching equipment,curriculum,teaching materials,teachers,teaching methods and other aspects are not so good.This thesis uses survey method and interview method to conduct a comprehensive investigation and research on the business Chinese teaching in Karachi Confucius Institute,in order to fully understand the actual situation of business Chinese teaching in Pakistan.This thesis is based on the investigation and analysis to discover possible directions for Pakistani business Chinese teaching development and teaching improvement measures.This research paper is divided in five chapters.The first section of this research paper is an introduction,which elaborate the context of the research,the objectives and significance of the research.It summarizes the previous research results and explains the main research methods of the thesis.The second chapter firstly summarizes the business Chinese teaching in Pakistan and the business Chinese teaching in Karachi Confucius Institute.Also discuss the basic situation of business Chinese teaching,which is offered by the Confucius Institute in Karachi and highlights the basic situation of business Chinese learners and business Chinese teachers.The third chapter investigates and analyzes the curriculum arrangement of business Chinese course,the use of teaching materials,the teaching effect of business Chinese course,the participation of learners in relevant level tests,and the learners' awareness of business Chinese related internships.The fourth chapter,through the analysis of survey data,finds out theproblems in the business Chinese teaching of the Confucius institute in Karachi and also explains the reasons.The fifth chapter is aimed at the problems existing in the business Chinese teaching of the Confucius Institute in Karachi,and puts forward relevant suggestions based on the characteristics of Pakistani business Chinese learners.The conclusions look forward to the prospects of the Confucius Institute at Karachi and the Chinese language teaching institutions in Pakistan.
