The sense of life meaning is a basic feeling about the meaning and belonging of life,which can help individuals feel their own value and the direction of future life,and guide individuals to find and improve the meaning of their own existence in the process of realizing self-worth.The sense of meaning of life can affect individual emotions and play an important role in the mental health development of the elderly.This study takes the elderly as the research object,aiming at the elderly's perception of the meaning of life and the impact of the sense of life meaning on the elderly's attitude towards death,aiming to provide reference basis for improving the elderly's sense of life meaning,mental health level and reducing the fear of death.Referring to previous studies,this study investigated the relationship between the sense of meaning of life and death attitude of the elderly,and studied,analyzed and discussed the mechanism of social support in the relationship between the two.Selects the Chinese sense of life questionnaire(C-MLQ),death attitude scale(revised edition)(DAP-R),social support scale(SSRS)three questionnaire,questionnaire as a research tool,to 191 elderly people in the city as the research subjects,using descriptive statistics,t-test,analysis of variance,correlation analysis,regression analysis and other statistical analysis method,after analyzing the data,the results are as follows:(1)There is a significant negative correlation between life meaning experience and death fear in the sense of life meaning of the elderly;There was a significant positive correlation between life meaning pursuit and death approach acceptance.There was a significant positive correlation between the two dimensions of sense-of-life and the natural acceptance dimension of death attitude.(2)There is a significant positive correlation between the subjective support and support utilization of social support of the elderly and the two dimensions of the sense of meaning of life;Objective support is negatively correlated with fear of death,escape from death and acceptance of escape from death.(3)There is a significant difference in the sense of meaning of life of the elderly in the number of close friends and registered permanent residence;Social support differed significantly in the number of children and close friends.(4)The mediating effect of social support on the sense of life meaning and death attitude of the elderly is significant.
