The translation report is based on English-Chinese translation of the tenth chapter of Aboriginal Australia, which was published by University of Queensland Press and was co-edited by Colin Bourke,Eleanor Bourke and Bill Edwards. The tenth chapter is mainly about Australian Aboriginal health after the invasion of the colonists. The translation text belongs to informative text, which is characterized by practicality and objectivity. In the process of translation, the translator encounters some translation difficulties, including words translation, passive voice translation and complex sentence translation. The translator tries to demonstrate how to address translation difficulties by using aggression, import and compensation under the guidance of George Steiner's hermeneutics. The translator hopes that this report will provide references for translators who are interested in studying hermeneutics and for readers who are interested in studying Aboriginal culture.
