Childhood is a critical period for an individual's physical and psychological growth.Individuals(children)in this period are emotionally sensitive and vulnerable and thus need some emotional support.When emotional demands are not met,they will vent their inner discomfort through acts such as silence,jealousy and fighting.If they do not get the correct guidance and education in the presence of these behaviors,these behaviors will be further strengthened,resulting in biased behavior,which affects the child's parent-child relationship,mental health,peer relationship,academic performance and so on.However,at present,researches on children's deviation behaviors in China is moving slowly.As a modern therapy that combines art with psychology and medicine,art therapy reveals children's deep inner activities through art forms that are easily accepted by children such as speeches,paintings,and psychological dramas.Studies have shown that children can vent their emotions,release stress,and improve their deviant behavior through specially designed art therapy programs.Therefore,this study will involve children with deviant behavior through art therapy into the social work of the group.The purpose is to explore the causes of children's deviant behavior,to test the effect of art therapy on children's deviant behavior and to provide relevant recommendations and countermeasures.During the two-month internship at Y Elementary School in Economic Development Zone,Nanchang City,the author selected seven children from the Y Elementary School through the observation method and interview method,and the group of children aged 4 to 6 with deviant behaviors.First of all,through the communication with the client and his teachers and parents,the author found that the less accompanying parents and the wrong education and guidance of the parents and teachers are the main reasons leading to the deviation behavior of these cases.secondly,the author,based on the relevant literature on art therapy and the existing art treatment plan(including painting,drama,handwork,etc.),planned the art therapy program with the theme of “With you,happy growth”,and carried out a 7-weekperiod according to the program.Group activities for 7 hours(once a week,1 hour in practice).Thirdly,according to the progress of the group activities,social workers will conduct regular interviews with the parents,teachers and classmates of the case to obtain more evaluation materials.Finally,by comparing the contents of the observation records before and after the intervention,it was found that the language and behavioral expressions of clients were improved,the relationship between parents and peers was more harmonious,and the academic achievement was also improved after participating in art therapy.Finally,through field observations,interviews,and records,the author suggests that parents should spend more time with their children as they grow up.When children have some bad behaviors such as insults and kicks,teachers and parents should communicate with children in a timely manner,pay attention to children's psychological growth and correct guidance and education to avoid children's deviant behavior.
