As an important organizer and participant of social aesthetic education during the Anti-Japanese War,colleges and universities played a unique and irreplaceable role in wartime literary and artistic propaganda and national consciousness enlightenment by exporting literary and artistic talents directly and arousing people's enthusiasm for resisting the enemy at the bottom of society.Absorbing the experience of social aesthetic education in Colleges and universities in different periods is of great significance for us to grasp the development direction of social aesthetic education in the current era,optimize and adjust the educational policies,concepts,practices and methods of social aesthetic education.However,at present,the academia pays little attention to the social aesthetic education of wartime universities,and the excavation of its connotation is also very limited.Based on the above reasons,the author chooses the National College of Art,the pioneer representative of social aesthetic education in Colleges and universities at that time,as the research sample,in order to basically restore the dissemination mechanism and forms of social aesthetic education in Colleges and universities during the Anti-Japanese War.Based on the first-hand historical documents,the study systematically collates the social aesthetic education during the period of the westward migration of the National Arts College by using case analysis and field investigation.Firstly,this paper introduces the background of the times and social education policy,and briefly combs the course of the westward migration of the National Arts College.Then,following the social aesthetic education inheritance vein formed at the beginning of the National Arts College,make a study of the social aesthetic education work in the period of the westward migration of the National Arts College is carried out comprehensively and meticulously in the fields of art resistance,cultural protection and opening up the people's wisdom in a more comprehensive and meticulous manner.National College of Arts is an active practitioner who internalizes and unifies Dewey's "Educational Life Theory" and Tao Xingzhi's "Life Education Theory".Its social aesthetic education is based on introducing social problems into school teaching,and at the same time putting the school in the practice of aesthetic education in the big school of society,thus completing the transformation of the school from social aesthetic education to social transformation,and responding to the three tasks of the establishment of the school-"cultivating specialized artistic talents","advocating artistic movement" and "promoting social aesthetic education".
