During World War II,Japanese troops set up captive camps at home and everywhere for prisoners of war,mainly American and British,who were captured in the Pacific.This paper attempts to collect the original materials collected by the archives in Japan as far as possible,and to reveal the Japanese military management system,personnel system,death of prisoners of war and so on in the Philippine Allied prisoners of War Camp at that time by drawing on the current domestic and foreign academic research results.In order to restore the history of a Philippine Allied prisoner of war camp.The full text is composed of three parts:introduction,text and reference.The introduction summarizes the research achievements and present situation of Japanese prisoners of war policy both at home and abroad in the post-war and recent years,and puts forward the research ideas of this paper.The paper is divided into four parts.The first part mainly describes the historical evolution of the Japanese prisoners of war policy during World War II,the management system and the regional distribution of the prisoners of war camp,based on the domestic and foreign scholars undefined research results.The second part through the capture of American and British pows by the Japanese army on the Philippine battlefield,and forcing the allied pows on the Bataan peninsula to march on foot to the Oda Nell temporary pow camp in the Philippines,the archives and documents discussed in detail the establishment of the pow camp,the purpose of setting up,the composition of the number of changes.The third part gives a general picture of the life of prisoners of war,sanitary conditions,conditions of servitude and death in the Philippine Allied prisoners of War camps based on historical data and some oral data.The historical features of some of the Allied POW camps at that time were reflected and restored from both the front and the side.The fourth part is the conclusion,which summarizes the research on pow camps of allied forces in the Philippines.The reference section lists the Chinese and Japanese archives,literature works and Internet sites for reference cited in this paper.
