More and more literary works are well known in Chinese and foreign history,and the deeper and deeper cultural heritage is exchanged and integrated among countries.The collision of Chinese and foreign cultures is a bridge of communication.The spread of culture contains many forms,history,trade,education,etc.,and there is another way that is music.There is no border between music,music culture is also a kind of culture,good music works need deep cultural foundation.The Nobel Prize in Literature has received much attention as a World Award.Bob Dylan is an American rock and folk artist.As the winner of the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature,his works and his life have attracted the attention of more and more Chinese readers.The subject of this report is excerpted from the fourth chapter and the fifth chapter of Another Side of Bob Dylan,Most people think that this translation practice is very simple.Actually,the real translation practice is not a simple contrasting text,like a superficial translation.It needs to combine theory with practice.After reading it briefly,A lot of energy is invested in order to complete it with the the best translation quality.This translation practice has broadened the translator's knowledge to a large extent and improved the translator's professional ability.It is a good platform for the translator.At the same time,this practice also increased the translator's knowledge and understanding of professional knowledge.The biggest difference between translation practice and interpretation practice is the importance of written practice.This translation practice report plays a decisive role in improving the translator's translation level.The main guiding theory of this translation practice report is Eugene Nida's functional equivalence theory.The equivalence in functional equivalence theory mainly includes: lexical equivalence,syntactic equivalence,chapter equivalence and stylistic equivalence.The translator will analyze the translated contents on the basis of the completion of the text translation.This translation practice,mainly includes five chapters:The first chapter,task introduction,mainly introduces the status at home and abroad,as well as the tasks of this practical report,the problems to be solved and its practical significance;the second chapter,the task description,mainly includes the background of the text and the language features of the selected text and the theories preparation;the third chapter introduces three steps of the task process,preparations before translation,and the matters of the translation and post-translation check;the fourth chapter,case analysis,this chapter introduces translation strategies and translation methods according to the functional equivalence theory,the translation strategy mainly focuses on lexical equivalence and textual equivalence analysis,while the translation methods mainly analyze the application of lexical equivalence and textual equivalence with addition method,omission method and word order adjustment method;the fifth chapter is the summary of the translation practice,the translator summarizes the gained experience,the shortcomings and the direction in future.Through this translation,the translator not only improves the ability of translation,but also summarizes the difficulties and experience in the translation practice.
