We know that reduplication is a common language form in the Chinese language, one of which is the reduplication of disyllabic adjectives.Due to its complex grammar features, reduplication of disyllabic adjectives is a difficulty in teaching Chinese as a second language.Foreign students often encounter various errors in learning this grammar point, and Indonesian learners are not an exception. An important reason for these errors of Indonesian students, studying both local and abroad,is the negative transfer of their mother tongue because disyllabic adjective reduplication in the Chinese language and adjective reduplication in Bahasa Indonesia have a lot of similarities and differences, and this interfers the students in learning the said grammar point. So,in order to explore the similarities and differences of the disyllabic adjective reduplication in the Chinese language and adjective reduplication in Bahasa Indonesia, this paper analyzed the two grammar points based on four aspects:form, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics, then used a survey to investigate the condition of the usage of Indonesian learners, local and abroad,of the disyllabic adjective reduplication in the Chinese language and afterwards analyzed the errors.Lastly, according to the types of errors and causes of errors, the researcher put forward some suggestions for the teaching of disyllabic adjective reduplication of Chinese language and learners' acquisition of it.
