Study On Tourism Efficiency Of International Cultural Tourism Demonstration Area In Southern Anhui Province

Tourism is a strategic pillar industry of China's national economy and a strategic pilot industry promoting the transformation of economic development mode and structural adjustment under the new normal of China's economic development.In the new journey of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,China's tourism industry has been fully integrated into the national strategic system.It is the accelerator of economic development,the lubricant of social harmony and the catalyst of ecological civilization construction.International cultural tourism demonstration area in the southern Anhui Province has profound regional culture,excellent ecological environment,and various tourism resource,which displays great influence on the national and world tourist destination.It is a beautiful area for the construction of China and is China's outstanding traditional culture inheritance innovation demonstration area.The construction of international cultural tourism demonstration area is an important strategy in the development of economy and tourism both in Anhui province and China.The measurement of tourism efficiency is the basis for improving the productivity of tourism industry and an important starting point for promoting the supply-side reform of China's tourism industry,improving the quality of tourism development,changing the mode of tourism development and optimizing the structure of tourism development.This study takes the international cultural tourism demonstration area in southern Anhui province as the research object,constructs the input-output evaluation system that can reflect the characteristics of the tourism industry comprehensively,and uses the DEA-malmquist Index model to quantitatively evaluate the comprehensive efficiency and total factor productivity from 2005 to 2017.This paper analyzes the temporal and spatial variation characteristics of the tourism efficiency in the demonstration area,and discusses the influencing factors of the efficiency variation,so as to provide theoretical reference for improving the quality of tourism development,changing the tourism development mode and promoting the tourism innovation in the demonstration area.Research shows that:(1)the average comprehensive tourism efficiency of the international cultural tourism demonstration area in southern Anhui province from 2005 to 2017 is 0.881,and the comprehensive efficiency is 1.There are 4 cities with the best tourism efficiency,accounting for 57.14% of the demonstration area,and the overall tourism efficiency is relatively high.(2)the internal tourism development of the area is unbalanced.The average value of the cities with the highest comprehensive tourism efficiency from 2005 to 2017 is 0.973,while the average value of the cities with the lowest comprehensive efficiency is only 0.548.The comprehensive tourism efficiency of Wuhu city is always higher than 0.9,while that of Xuancheng city is always lower than 0.6.(3)from 2005 to 2017,total factor productivity of international cultural tourism demonstration area in southern Anhui province increased by 17.2% on average in the past 12 years,among which technological progress increased by 16.3% on average and technical efficiency increased by 0.8% on average.Technological progress is the main factor affecting the growth of total factor productivity.(4)tourism total factor productivity of the area in the 12 years shows a trend of fluctuations in growth.There are more periods when total factor productivity rises and fewer periods when it falls.The maximum value of total factor productivity is 1.344,and the minimum value is 0.986.The growth of tourism productivity of the area is mainly due to the improvement of technological progress,and the decline of productivity is mainly due to the decline of technological efficiency.(5)the comprehensive tourism efficiency in the southwest of the area is obviously higher than that in the northeast.Anqing and Wuhu remained relatively stable in the high value area of the comprehensive tourism efficiency of the demonstration area.The number of high-value areas in the area is on the whole increasing,and the space evolves from the original scattered distribution to the continuous flaky distribution,which shows the obvious development and progress of tourism in the demonstration area in recent years.Especially since the establishment of the demonstration area policy in 2008,the tourism industry has developed rapidly,with the overall growth of tourism efficiency and the continuous improvement of tourism development quality.
