"Zui X De NP Ye Y" Structure Study

"Zui X de NP ye Y" is a frequencly used structure both in oral and written languages of modern Chinese.Based on the theory of cognitive linguistics,this paper uses empirical analysis and a combination of description and interpretation.Based on the collection,classification and research of a lot of corpora,this paper attempts to define the constant,variable and structural meanings of this structure.Excluding the introduction and conclusion,this article will be divided into four parts.The first chapter examines the constants of the "Zui X de NP ye Y" structure.It mainly examines the meaning of the regular items "Zui","de",and "ye" in the structure."Zui" is a degree adverb in the structure,indicating a certain degree of apex,with an absolute degree,used to express the subjective attitude of the speaker;"De" the mark of the attribute in the structure,used to conjunct and the central language are used to express the modified relationship between the two;"Ye" is a modal adverb in the structure,which is used to express the subjective emotions and attitudes of the speaker,and has the function of marking anti-expectation.In the second chapter,the variables of the "Zui X de NP ye Y" structure are investigated.It mainly examines the characteristics of the variables "X","NP" and "Y"."X" can be a word,including adjectives of nature,abstract nouns,and at the same time generalize words that cannot enter into the structure,including state adjectives,overlapping of adjectives,adjectives with suffixes;"X" can also be a phrase,including moving phrase,phrase,joint phrase."NP" is a noun that expresses a person,thing,event,or thought;"Y" has a definition in the sense of expression,but there are two forms: affirmative form and negative form in form.The affirmative form is mainly expressed as " Zui X de NP will / can / want Y";The negative form is mainly expressed as " Zui X de NP is not / can not / difficult Y" and so on.The third chapter analyzes the structural meaning of "Zui X de NP ye Y".Through the examination of the corpus,the structural meaning of the structure can be summarized as follows: The speaker subjectively believes that even if the degree of trait or behavior of NP reaches the apex,it also expresses the speaker's opinion or attitude toward an event.This part focuses on the analysis of three aspects.The first is the structural meaning type of "Zui X de NP ye Y",including fait genre,unsubstantiated facts and ambiguous classes;the second is " Zui X de NP ye Y ".The structure's concession relationship is analyzed.The structure represents the hypothetical concession relationship.The third is to analyze the performance of the structure in terms of expected deviation.From the perspective of the expected deviation,the main performance is the structure.The anti-expectation aspect includes the anti-expective type and the anti-expectation form of the selection tendency;from the deviation from the expected amount,the main performance is the investigation of the expected and negative expected quantity of the structure.The fourth chapter analyzes the pragmatic aspects of the "Zui X de NP ye Y" structure.In terms of contextual meaning.According to the specific language environment,it is divided into six extreme examples: surprise,exaggeration,disappointment,euphemism,and regret.In addition,the pragmatic motivations of the "Zui X de NP ye Y" structure are analyzed,mainly including the two aspects of language economy principles and subjectivity.
