Red is the color with the longest wavelength,the strongest visual impact and the easiest to stimulate human visual nerve.It is also one of the earliest colors discovered by primitive people and has long been an image with rich connotation in the development of human history.Red as a "prototype",in the evolution of history "has basically become a set of secret symbols",this "color words bear a very strong emotional power." As a language art,use color to the creation of the beauty of art is a kind of indispensable means,in ancient times our country had to colour in poetry,rich poetic expressiveness,enhance the aesthetic feeling of traditional.This kind of tradition will be the continuation of new literature,in fifty and seventy's in the 20 th century,has developed the "red classics" and "red" narrative literature phenomenon.The red phenomenon in literary creation continued to extend and develop in the 1980s of the new period of culture,and evolved into different forms and connotations.Based on the use of red images in literary works in the 1980s,this paper examines the different connotations of red images in different historical periods,and thus presents the changes of literary phenomena and the development of literary history in the 1980s with the changes of times through the evolution of the aesthetic connotation of red images.In addition to the introduction,thanks,the paper is divided into three chapters.The introduction is divided into three sections: the first section explains the basis of topic selection and the overall research idea of the paper;the second section combing and integrating the current situation of literature research in the academic world in the 1980s;the third section explains several concepts involved in the paper,namely,classifying and summarizing the rich connotation of the red image.The first chapter Red and Revolution: the change of the traditional red narrative in the new era,has been divided into two sections,with "Blood Dusk" as the center,with the "Red Sun","Red Rock","Song of Youth" compare,formed to present the "seventeen-year literature" and is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people of the "red-revolution" means involved in the change of the eighty's.The first section is Red,the Symbol of Blood and Revolution.Through the analysis of "Red Sun" and "Red Rock",this paper expounds how red has the meaning of revolution,and demonstrates how the revolutionary meaning of red can be presented in red sunset.In the second section,The Evolution of The Red Image in The Literature of The New Period,is compared with the "Song of youth" and the novel of the same theme is compared to discuss the different symbolic meanings of the red given to the novel in different times and to show the different meanings of the original "red-revolution" reference in the new period.The second chapter,From Monochrome to Polychrome: The Breakthrough of Narrative Discourse Paradigm And The Appearance of Scenery,is divided into two sections.Taking "The Red Shirt Without Buttons" as the central text,it makes a comparative study with “Schindler's list” and “Red Beans” to demonstrate the connotation of red image from revolution to life,from symbolization to individualization.The first section is "Red--The Presentation of Fire And Personality",expounding the common points of color application between "The Red Shirt Without Buttons" and the film "Schindler's list",and demonstrating the life,hope and other meanings of red in the new era.In the second section,"The Gradual Change of Individualized Narration and The Diversified Development of Literary Prospect" compare "The Red Shirt Without Buttons" with "Red Beans",expound the different forms of individualized narration in different times and social environments,and demonstrate the breakthrough of red in literary prospect in the new era.Chapter three,"‘Attrition'and reconstruction: the construction of homeland and the trace of national roots".Taking the five works of "Red Sorghum","Magnolia Under The Big wall","Red Powder" and "One Kind of Reality" as examples,this chapter briefly describes the further expansion of the symbolic meaning of red in the new period,and explains the essence of this expansion: root-seeking and reconstruction of homeland.In the first section,"The Author Traces Back To The Ancestor's civilization and The Expectation of Reconstructing The Homeland".Through the comparison between "Red Sorghum" and "Magnolia Under The Big wall",the author demonstrates that the connotation of the red image,on the basis of revolution and nobility,increases the signified vitality,sex and violence.In the second section,"The Red Image And The Call of The Original Vitality",by the comparison of "Red Sorghum" and "Red Powder",focusing on the red symbol of sex and vitality.The third section is about violence and individual experience writing,comparing "Red Sorghum" with "One Kind of Reality",explaining the meaning of red violence and death,and the change of red image from collectivization to individual experience.The epilogue summarizes the changes of the red image from the 1950 s and 1960 s to the end of 1980s and the corresponding transmutation of the red aesthetic connotation,and briefly describes the richer evolution of the connotation of the red image after the 1980s.
