With the popularity of"Chinese hot"in Thailand,Chinese courses are widely offered in kindergartens,primary schools,secondary schools,and universities.Some public schools have set up Chinese major since high school,which provides the necessary guarantee for the promotion of Chinese from the educational system.Most of the students in the Chinese major class of U-thong School are motivated by instrumental motivation,and take Chinese learning as a choice for future employment.However,students'comprehensive skills of using Chinese are not high and their communicative competence is poor.Teachers'teaching methods are single,and students'initiative in learning Chinese needs to be improved.In the primary stage of Chinese curriculum,comprehensive course is the main course,but in many cases,comprehensive course is subjected to the drawbacks of traditional teaching method,unable to balance the relationship between"explain and practice",leading to the failure of achieving the fundamental teaching goal of comprehensive course,which is improving learners'comprehensive language skills.TBLT emphasizes"learning by doing"and language content,which has a significant effect on improving learners'communicative competence and inspiring learners'learning initiative.In the Western foreign language teaching community,TBLT occupies an important position,but it does not occupy the main position in the Chinese teaching method.However,each method has its merits for reference,and the related research of Chinese classroom teaching design based on TBLT is also gradually developing.However,there are few studies on the elementary Chinese comprehensive course,and there are relatively fewer studies on specific countries.To solve the problems of Chinese comprehensive course in U-thong School,based on the learners' needs,the author explores the ways to solve the problems in Chinese language teaching from both theoretical and practical aspects.Taking task as the basic unit of classroom teaching organization,this paper investigates the effective way of applying the task-based teaching approach to the elementary Chinese comprehensive course,and puts forward the key problems,carries out relevant teaching design research,and provides the teaching suggestions in the end.Practice has proved that the application of TBLT in elementary Chinese comprehensive course can effectively improve the learners'enthusiasm and promote learners'comprehensive ability to use Chinese.This paper is divided into six parts.The first chapter is the introduction part,including a summary of the relevant research status,as well as an elaboration of the research methods and purposes of the research problems.Chapter two is the theoretical basis of TBLT and comprehensive Chinese course.The third chapter is a teaching design analysis,according to U-thong school Chinese language teaching and learning problems,puts forward the strategy of applying TBLT to comprehensive course,and examines the feasibility and necessity of this assumption.The fourth chapter is the teaching design which based on the analysis,including overall teaching design,specific teaching design,evaluation and feedback,the result of which justifies that the TBLT applied in elementary Chinese comprehensive course can partly solve the problem of teaching and learning of U-thong Chinese major students.The fifth chapter is the teaching suggestions about the teaching design,the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses about it.
