In the early 1960 s,China has begun the study of cross-cultural pragmatics.However,the previous research mainly focused on the comparison of cross-cultural pragmatics,in order to find out the differences between different languages and avoid cross-cultural pragmatic errors.The research object of this paper is the cross-cultural pragmatic variant of Chinese.In other words,it's the pragmatic variation form formed by the influence of Chinese language culture mainly English.Our research focus shifts from language and cultural differences to contact and integration between Chinese and English.In addition,the research foothold of this paper is the field of TCSOL.It's from the perspective of TCSOL to pay attention to the use of Chinese cross-cultural pragmatic variants and teaching applications.The research path is mainly to understand the use of Chinese cross-cultural pragmatic variants of foreign students through questionnaires and interviews.This paper compares the survey results with the series of The Course of Chinese listening and speaking and the pragmatic expressions of native Chinese speakers,and then puts forward some teaching suggestions in the application of teaching.The analysis results show that there are great differences between the three aspects in the use of Chinese cross-cultural pragmatic variants: Generally speaking,foreign students tend to use Chinese cross-cultural pragmatic variants in their language life.Chinese native speakers mainly apply traditional expression,but there is a gradual increase in the use of Chinese cross-cultural pragmatic variants.There is an imbalance in the selection of pragmatic functional expressions in Chinese teaching materials,and most of the expressions in teaching materials are traditional,and the emphasis on Chinese cross-cultural pragmatic variants is not high.In order to solve this problem,this paper puts forward nine strategies for teaching from two aspects of textbook writing and teacher teaching.We think textbook writers should have a deep understanding of the current language situation.We should respect the language facts and balance the proportion of traditional expression and cross-cultural pragmatic variant expression in teaching materials.Teachers of TCSOL should accurately grasp the direction of language development to maintain the advanced nature of their own language and ensure the natural nature of classroom language output,we should guide students to integrate into the real language life.The full text is divided into six parts:The first part: This paper gives a brief introduction to the reasons,objectives,significance,research objects,research ideas and methods of this paper.At the same time,we combed the related research on the cross-cultural pragmatic variation of Chinese in order to set up a guide for the research of this paper..The second part: This paper takes the series of series of The Course of Chinese listening as the analysis object and analyses the traditional and cross-cultural variant functional expressions in teaching materials according to the types of functional items and the communicative relations.The third part: We design the questionnaire according to the statistical analysis of the function expression in the second part of the textbook.This paper investigates the use of cross-cultural pragmatic variants of Chinese by foreign students at Ludong University and Jiujiang University.The fourth part: We make a contrastive analysis of the selection of cross-cultural pragmatic variants of Chinese in foreign students,Chinese native speakers and teaching materials to observe whether there is unity in the use of cross-cultural pragmatic variants among them.The fifth part: This paper puts forward nine strategies for the teaching of cross-cultural pragmatic variants of Chinese from the aspects of textbook compilation,teachers and professors according to the previous research and the present situation of oral Chinese teaching as a foreign language.The sixth part: We summarizes the research contents,refines the research process and conclusions,and points out the direction of the follow-up research.
