Currently,education has aroused extensive attention in China.However,education for children with disabilities in China is much lagged behind recently.To resolve the problems of education for children with disabilities,specialists who study special education have carried out many relevant researches both at home and abroad.Some of foreign research achievements are worthy of reference for domestic study.The translation of special education is an interaction of cross-cultural communication with important research value and sense.Therefore,the E-C translation of special education is of great significance.With Chapters Six and Seven from Education for Children with Disabilities in Addis Ababa,Ethiopia,a book about special education,as the object of translation and study,this report focuses on E-C translation methods and strategies of special education books.It consists of four parts.Chapter One is the task description,which introduces the source,features and background of the text.Chapter Two is what the author did for preparation before translation,theory selection and quality control after translation.Chapter Three describes the case analysis at the lexical,syntactic and discourse levels under the guidance of Skopos Theory.And Chapter Four is the author's reflections and experience in this translation practice.Under the guidance of Skopos Theory and relevant translation strategies and methods such as the extension of word meaning,conversion,addition and reversing,the author can complete a qualified translation and achieve the ultimate goal of special education translation.And the author hopes that she can provide useful information and suggestions to those who are engaged in special education translation.
