Report On E-C Translation Practice Of ICSU ROA Science Plan-Global Environmental Change

This translation report is a comprehensive summary of the E-C translation practice of ICSU ROA Science Plan-Global Environmental Change.The translation material is taken from the international council for science official website,a science-based program on coping with the impact of global environmental change in Africa.Global environmental changes affect the development of countries,especially developing countries,and even endanger human survival in the future.Therefore,the study of global environmental change has certain practical significance.This translation report includes four parts.The first part is the description of the translation task including the source of the material,background,text features and the practical significance of the text.The second part describes the translation process,including translation preparation,theoretical preparation and quality Control.The third part is the case analysis,the most important part of the thesis.It mainly analyzes examples at the lexical,syntactic and textual level under the guidance of Skopos theory.And such translation methods as literal translation,addition,conversion and division are applied.Chapter four is the summary and revelations of the translation,and unsolved problems of the translation practice.By analyzing the translation of ICSU ROA Science Plan-Global Environmental Change,it is hoped that the thesis can provide some experiences in E-C translation of social science papers.
