With the deepening of globalization,China and other countries are increasingly connected with each other.As the economic center of Shandong Province,Qingdao plays a variety of roles such as an important coastal city,coastal tourism resort,international port city.An increasing number of visitors of various fields all over the world come to Qingdao every year.Among these people,few of them know the history of Qingdao's postal service.Besides,there are few studies on the translation of texts about postal service history in China.Therefore,the study of "Posts and Telecommunications of Qingdao" has some academic and practical values.With the guidance of skopos theory,the report centers the C-E translation strategies of“Posts and Telecommunications of Qingdao".It consists of four chapters.Chapter 1 is the task description which briefly introduces the source,and features of the selected material as well as the research background and significance.Chapter 2 presents how the translation practice is conducted,including preparations before translation,translation process,and quality control.Chapter 3 is the case analysis,which mainly explores the strategies and methods for C-E translation of "Posts and Telecommunications of Qingdao" at lexical,syntactic and discourse levels with the proper guidance of skopos theory.Chapter 4 wraps up the whole report with the experience and lessons from the translation practice,and then points out some unresolved problems.By analyzing C-E translation of some concrete examples,it is expected that the research can assist Chinese learners in mastering the skills on the translation of texts about postal service history in China.
