This report discusses translation strategies in the E-C translation process under the theoretical guidance of Skopos Theory. Guided by the requirements of the Posts and Telecom Press, we three translators participated in the book translation The Big Data-Driven Business, written by American famous executive Russell Glass and Sean Callahan. The Big Data-Driven Business shows what it takes to create a thriving business culture and how to use the big data to outshine the competition. This report, based on the author’s translation experience of the first five chapters, systematically introduces 5 parts:task introduction, theoretical basis, transfer process, case analysis and experience summery, among which, the translation-oriented text analysis, translation strategy choices and the use of the Computer-aided Translation( CAT) tools are the focus of this report. In the author’s opinion, translation process should be conducted under the guidance of translation theories and the selection of translation skills should be based on theories. The use of CAT tools makes it better and more effective in completing the purposeful activity——translation. In the last part, the author summarizes the experience and suggestions gained in this translation task. The author hopes this report can provide a useful reference for MTI students, translators and those who are interested in translation.
