Analysis Of "Small Fresh Meat" Phenomenon As Symbolic Consumption

China's entertainment industry has a wide range of male screen images,and with the development of media technology,the audience's aesthetic level continues to improve,male screen images become more diverse.Since 2014,the word "little fresh meat" has become a hot word of the year,and the image of the stars they represent has become an objective reflection of current trends and aesthetic changes.But the "Little Fresh Meat"stars are different from the traditional stars in the past.The "Little Fresh Meat" stars were bom in the era of social media.They are born with Internet genes,and they are also the product of capital creation.The social movement of women's equal rights has made great progress in modem society.Women use "little fresh meat" to express their aesthetic freedom and fight against male hegemony by consuming "little fresh meat".Little Fresh Meat" itself has the characteristics of "sub-culture".On the one hand,capital meets womenrs consumption needs by using the symbol of "Little Fresh Meat",on the other hand,it invisibly weakens the resistance significance of "Little Fresh Meat" to the mainstream culture.The research object of this paper is the group of male entertainment stars known as "Little Fresh Meat".This paper adopts the method of literature review and content analysis.Through literature review,combing the relevant theories of communication,sociology and psychology as theoretical support,and on this basis,interpreting the phenomenon of "Little Fresh Meat",and then through content analysis,analyzing the image characteristics and symbolic characteristics of "Little Fresh Meat",providing a realistic basis for the theory,and striving to clarify the causes of the phenomenon of "Little Fresh Meat" and the hidden society behind it.But in essence,the phenomenon of "little fresh meat" reflects the essence of consumable society and the transfer of social power under the requirement of equal rights between men and women.
