Talents have always been a country's most valuable resource of all time.The competition of contemporary comprehensive national strength is the competition of talents,so it is very necessary and urgent to cultivate talents with high quality.University is an important base for training high-quality talents in China,so it's particularly important for the cultivation of college students.University administrators should not only pay attention to the cultivation of students'professional ability,but also pay attention to students'mental health.There are many factors that affect the mental health of college students,excessive pressure is a major factor.During the period of admission,students may face the pressure to adapt to the campus.A year later,they will under the academic pressure.What's more,when they are about to graduate,they have both thesis and employment burdens.Many studies have pointed out that academic pressure is one of the main sources of pressure for college students.Therefore,if appropriate and effective methods are found to help college students relieve academic pressure,it will play an important role in promoting the improvement of mental health.Mindfulness training is one of an effective way for helping them.Mindfulness is a conscious,no critical process which pays attention to focus on the present.There are also a number of studies that prove that mindfulness is a scientific and effective way to reduce stress,therefore,this study wishes to help college students adapt to pressure better,especially academic pressure and thus improve health in physics and mentality through mindfulness training.This study aims to explore the influence about the mindfulness group counseling on college students' level of mindfulness and academic pressure.This study take use of group intervention,involving 16 college students,they are divided into two groups,experimental group of 8 people,the other 8 people in control group,the experimental group have mindfulness training once a week,every time have nifty minutes,and training eight weeks mindfulness group counseling.In this training have not any intervention in the controlling group.Results show that:1.For the mindfulness training group,the mindfulness scores of protest were significantly lower than that of post-test,but for the controlling group,there is no significant difference between pretest and post-test.2.For the mindfulness training group,the academic pressure scores of pretest were significantly higher than that of post-test,but for the controlling group,there is no significant difference between pretest and post-test.This study suggests that 8 weeks mindfulness training can effectively improve the level of mindfulness of college students and reduce their academic stress.
