Chinese traditional festival contain China's rich history and culture and are an important part of Chinese traditional culture.Chinese traditional festival teaching is an important link of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Its teaching content can stimulate students' interest in Chinese learning.The teaching content of Chinese traditional festivals can make students understand Chinese culture and also facilitate the spread of Chinese culture.The teaching and research on traditional Chinese festivals is in a lower proportion in the teaching Chinese as a foreign language,which is inconsistent with the content of traditional Chinese festivals.The writing of language knowledge points in the textbooks accounted for the majority,and the content related to traditional culture,especially traditional festivals,was less.This article takes the Spring Festival,Tomb-sweeping Day,the Dragon Boat Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival as the object of investigation,and combines the traditional festivals with the teaching Chinese as a foreign language.It counts the number of appearances and content analysis of four traditional Chinese festivals in the six comprehensive textbooks of the textbook “Developing Chinese” used by overseas students.Through the collation and statistics of the questionnaires of Chinese traditional festival culture teaching for foreign students,analyzing the weakness of traditional festival content teaching,and under the guidance of teaching principles and teaching methods,this paper make a targeted teaching design of traditional festival culture.The introduction part of this paper mainly introduces the reasons for the selection of the topic,the research object and scope,the research content and significance,the current research status of traditional Chinese festival teaching and the methods used in this paper.The text has four parts.The first part introduces traditional Chinese festivals and the relationship between traditional Chinese festivals and teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The second part takes the six comprehensive textbooks of“Developing Chinese” as a sample and the festival words as the core words.According to the statistics and analysis,it reveals that the content of Chinese traditional festivals in the textbook of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is in a lower proportion.In thequestionnaire survey for overseas students in traditional Chinese festivals,it was found that the teaching practice was insufficient compared with the actual needs of the students' language and cultural learning,and proposing suggestions for improvement and adjustment on the shortcomings.The third part uses the literature research and related theoretical guidance method to propose the principles and methods of teaching Chinese as a foreign language suitable for overseas students.The last part is a practical demonstration based on theoretical research.And I made a teaching design for the case.I hope that it can help Chinese teachers and overseas students.
