The Chinese nation has a long history and a splendid traditional culture,and the Chinese traditional festivals are an important part of the Chinese traditional culture.The teaching of Chinese traditional festivals plays an important role in teaching Chinese culture to foreigners.It can stimulate students' interest in learning and it is also an important bridge for cultural spread,which can help students understand and fall in love with Chinese culture.However,in the current system of teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL),the proportion of the teaching and research on Chinese traditional festivals are relatively small,which is not matched with the components of Chinese traditional festivals.In order to get further study from this problem,this paper will take the literature research as the basis,supplemented by questionnaires and interviews,and then study the current situation and existing problems of Chinese traditional festivals in teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL)from textbooks,teaching programs and student surveys.And on the basis,combined with the cultural functions of Chinese traditional festivals,the learning characteristics of foreign students and the features of teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL),effective adjustment strategies will be put forward in this part.The paper will be expounded from three procedures that conclude finding the problems,inquiring the problems and solving the problems.And it will study from teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL)in the teaching materials,students and classroom teaching for each of the elements,in order to enhance the China traditional festival in the whole system of teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL)in proportion,as well as to help to promote the teaching of Chinese traditional festivals and the cultural spread for deeper fusion.To this end,this article(including the introduction and conclusion)will be elucidated and studied from the six parts.The introduction mainly introduces the research background,the current research status of the teaching of Chinese traditional festivals,and the research methods used in this paper.The first part of the body focuses on the important role of Chinese traditional festivals in teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL),which will be stated mainly from three aspects: the understanding of Chinese traditional festivals,the importance and necessity of Chinese traditional festivals in teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL).The second part adopts the method of literature,which will be accompanied with the Comprehensive Textbooks including <Developing Chinese><New Practical Chinese Reader><Boya Chinese >and <HSK Standard Course> as samples,and the festival words as the core words.And then it will reveal the truth that the Chinese traditional festival get less proportion of the current mainstream Chinese textbooks through the data statistics and analysis.The third part focuses on the practice teaching research of Chinese traditional festivals.Through the methods of student questionnaire and teacher interview,we collect first-hand information,and reveal the problems of teaching philosophy,teaching process and teaching methods.The fourth part,in view of the existing problems in the teaching materials and teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL),puts forward the strategies of improvement and adjustment.The fifth part is the practice demonstration based on the theoretical research.Taking the example of <The Simple Love>,the lesson plan is designed to verify the feasibility of the proposed teaching strategy.The conclusion is that teaching Chinese as a foreign language(TCFL)in Chinese traditional festivals is an important way to spread Chinese culture.
