The outcome-based education originated in the United States in the 20 th century,represented by William Spady.The basic principles are clarity of focus,expanded opportunity,high expectation and design down.It has been proven that the earliest application of OBE to engineering and application-oriented majors is effective.To some extent,Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages can be regarded as a language application area,and theologically,OBE can be implemented in Chinese-language teaching.At present,in the global practice of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages,especially in the overseas comprehensive Chinese courses,due to the influence of various factors,there is a certain gap between the teaching objective and the actual effect.In order to further improve the efficiency of Chinese language teaching and effectively cultivate students' ability of using the Chinese language in actual communication,the researcher used the basis of the practical teaching experience in AIS Manila.A large number of first-hand information was gathered and further research on the application of OBE in Chinese language teaching through this,some cases were considered for appropriate action.In order to test the teaching effect of implementing OBE,the researcher conducted two periodic tests on students in a specific HSK level from AIS Manila and SSM school both of which share the same situation of being an international school in Manila but wouldvary on the different in teaching philosophy used,and made a comparative analysis of the test results.Finally,it is concluded that the teaching effect of applying OBE in Chinese language teaching is better.This paper is divided into five chapters.Chapter one is the introduction,which mainly focuses on the reason,purpose and significance of the thesis,the domestic and overseas literature review research of OBE theory and practice;content and research method of this paper.The second chapter is the theory and teaching mode of OBE which includes the concept,core principles and representative teaching mode of OBE.The third chapter is the core content of this paper,which includes the case and the effectiveness of the comparison on application of OBE in Chinese language teaching.First of all,the researcher selected a typical lesson of each grade to show the whole teaching process based on the investigation of the current teaching situation of AIS Manila,then compared and analyzed the test results of AIS and SSM schools to verify the effect of each teaching philosophy.The fourth chapter is the reflection and the suggestions on the implementation of OBE.The researcher summarized the advantages and disadvantages in specific practices,and drew four feasible suggestions on the basis of the teaching and learning experiences.The fifth chapter is the conclusion.By summarizing the whole paper and reflecting on the shortcomings of the article,the researcher aims to improve the quality and the efficiency of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
