In the context of the "Chinese fever",in order to train more outstanding talents in international Chinese education and teaching,and Chinese language and cultural communication,more and more colleges and universities have opened majors in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages,and the number of students is expanding year by year.As a new and emerging major of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages,imbalance between market demand and employment,inadequate training of talents,and unreasonable curriculum settings have become significant issues that hinder the development of this major.This paper takes Yunnan Normal University Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages majors' undergraduate graduates and the employment unit where the graduates are located in the past five years as the survey object,and explores and analyzes the employment trends of undergraduates in this major,as well as the demand and feedback of the professional talents in the job market.Based on the principle of Outcome Based Education,based on the needs of the social market,combined with the shortcomings of the college's professional training in the talents,the corresponding suggestions and strategies are put forward.This paper is mainly divided into two sections: introduction and text.The introduction explains the reason for choosing the topic,the content and method of the research,definition of related concepts and the literature review.The text consists of four parts.The first part is the statistical analysis of employment trend.Analyze the employment trends of undergraduates from 2014 to 2018 of the Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages program of Yunnan Normal University,and calculate the employment rate and major and occupation matching employment rate.Compare the overall employment rate and major and occupation matching employment rate of Yunnan Normal University,analyze the gaps and the reason.The second part is the questionnaire analysis.Using SPSS software to analyze the data of two questionnaires: "Questionnaire of Undergraduate Employment andTalent Cultivation of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages Major of Yunnan Normal University" and "Questionnaire of Employers' feedback on undergraduates of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages".Find out the feedback of graduates and employers on the training of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages professionals.The third part based on employment analysis and survey results,analyze the factors affecting the employment quality of undergraduates majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from three aspects: social market,school education,and individual students.The fourth part is based on the analysis of the factors that affect the employment quality of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages undergraduates in the third part,combined with my thoughts on the undergraduate training program of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages majors of Yunnan Normal University.Targeting the professional/subject positioning,professional promotion,professional system construction in the social aspect;positioning of talent training goals,construction of talent training mode,curriculum setting,practical management,employment guidance in the university aspect;accurate professional recognition,improvement of knowledge and skills,career planning in the students aspect.Suggestions on the improvement of talent training strategies,and look forward to the future development trend of the Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages major department of our college.
