In the modem society,Intelligent Transportation System has become an indispensable part of people's work and life and guides the development and construction of urban intelligent transportation.As the largest developing country,China keeps pace with the world in the development of Intelligent Transportation System.The author chooses the paper The Current Situation and Developing Trend of Urban Intelligent Transportation System as the source text,and translates it from Chinese into English under the guidance of Skopos theory.According to the C-E translation,this report explores the translation techniques,problems and solutions through four chapters.The first chapter is the task description about the introduction and features of the source text,and the significance of completing the translation task.The second part comes to the description of the translation process with the preparation,the process and the quality control of the translation.The third part is the case analysis by analyzing the translation of specialized words,long sentences and text cohesion.And many translation skills such as abbreviation,substitution and converting are applied to solving the translation problems.In the last chapter,the author summarizes the reflections of the whole task and the unsolved problems in the translation process.By completing this translation task,the author has deeper understanding of the Skopos theory and the application of relevant translation theories and strategies to solve the problems in the translation.And the experience and reflections from the task are of great significance for the author's further translation studies.
